Loudest Burp

The record for the loudest burp is 107.1 db achieved by Paul Hunn (UK) on the set of The New Paul O’Grady Show, London, UK, on 24 September 2008.

Most Pierced Woman

By August 9, 2001, Elaine Davidson, of Edinburgh, Scotland, had a record-breaking total of 720 piercings. She first broke the record in May 2000, when a Guinness World Records official examined her and found 462 piercings on various parts of her body, including 192 on her facial area alone.

MOST TATTOOED PERSON

The ultimate in multi-layered tattooing is represented by the chainsaw juggling, unicycling, sword-swallowing Lucky Diamond Rich (Australia, born New Zealand), who has spent over 1,000 hours having his body modified by hundreds of tattoo artists. He began by having a full collection of colourful designs from around the world tattooed over his entire body. But not content with stopping there, Lucky next opted for a 100% covering of black ink, including eyelids, the delicate skin between the toes, down into the ears, and even his gums. He is now being tattooed with white designs on top of the black, and coloured designs on top of the white!

World's Oldest Woman, Maria de Jesus, dies in Portugal

Guinness World Records received the sad news today that the world’s oldest woman, Maria de Jesus (b. 10 September 1893), has passed away in her native Portugal at the age of 115.
Maria was crowned the world’s Oldest Living Woman by Guinness World Records on 28th December upon the death of Edna Parker (USA, 20 April 1893 - 26 November 2008).
114-year old Gertrude Baines of Los Angeles, California (b. 6 April, 1894) is likely to become Maria’s successor to the title. However, an official announcement will not be made until Guinness World Records has completed its investigation of the category.
